A non-contact, boxing-based program built for people with Parkinson’s — right here in Santee. Footwork, power, balance, and voice work, in a community that gets it. No experience needed, and you’re never alone IN THIS FIGHT.
Combat symptoms. Reclaim your strength.
Parkinson’s can make everyday movements harder. Rock Steady Boxing fights back — an evidence-based program designed to improve balance, flexibility, strength, and coordination, with a curriculum built specifically to take on Parkinson’s symptoms. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or years in, it adapts to meet you where you are.
What to expect
You’ll never get hit
All training is non-contact — heavy bags, focus mitts, and footwork drills. No sparring, ever.
Efficient sessions
Energizing and focused — long enough for real progress, short enough for any schedule.
No experience needed
We coach every move at every level and meet you exactly where you are today.
What to bring: boxing gloves (14 oz women / 16 oz men), quick hand wraps, water, and a towel. New to gear? We’ll point you to what you need — and you can borrow gloves to start.
A community in your corner
One of Rock Steady’s greatest strengths is the people. When you join, you become part of a group built on encouragement and understanding — boxers who form real friendships that go well beyond the gym. You are not alone in this fight.
Fifteen classes strong and counting. Rock Steady Santee keeps fighting.

Common questions
I’ve never boxed. Will I be able to keep up?
Yes. We start with footwork and form, and coach every step. Most of our boxers had never boxed before they walked in.
Will my doctor approve this?
We strongly recommend confirming with your neurologist. Rock Steady Boxing has been studied extensively and most physicians are familiar with it. A physician’s clearance is required before your first class.
Do I need a Parkinson’s diagnosis to join?
Rock Steady is designed specifically for people with Parkinson’s. Care partners — ask us about ways to take part alongside your fighter.
How do I get started?
Send the inquiry form above, or call (619) 648-2345. There’s no free trial, but you’re welcome to visit and watch anytime.
